Alaska is not only a huge state it's coastline is over 44,000 miles long. I was fortunate to visit a small part of it - Kenai Peninsula. The main town on the peninsula is Seward at the end of Resurrection Bay. I took a day cruise that cover over 120 miles in to the Kenai National Park. I got to see Humpback Whales breaching, glaciers, Dall's porpoise speeding around the boat, harbor seals sunning themselves, bald eagles, puffins and many other types of marine birds. I has there the first week of July 2011 and the weather was beautiful - clear, sunny, temperature in the high 60's. You will notice the clear blue skies and snow capped mountains in the pictures.
